Yesterday, at approximately 16.30, inside the Eur Palasport metro station (Line "B") in Rome, Army soldiers engaged in the "Safe Roads" Operation intervened to rescue a man who accidentally fell on the tracks.

The army patrol (soldiers in force at the 17 ° anti-aircraft artillery regiment stationed in Sabaudia) noticed the man walking on the quay, intent on putting his wallet in his trouser pocket, when, distracted, he crossed the yellow safety line to then fall on the underlying tracks. The military immediately rushed to his aid, bringing the man back to the security zone a few seconds before the convoy arrived.

118 intervention required. An ambulance intervened in the area, providing the victim with the appropriate care. The man reported only minor excoriations on his legs and arms.
