Meeting of former students of the 63 course at the "Soccorso Saloni" barracks in Viterbo

The "Soccorso Saloni" barracks, headquarters of the Officers' School Army, opened the gates, 8 September 2017 Friday, to the former non-commissioned students of the 63 th course for the celebration of the thirtieth anniversary.

Welcomed by the commander of the Institute, the former students had the opportunity to relive, for a day, in the places that saw them as protagonists during the course attendance to become non-commissioned officers of the Italian Army.

After the flag-raising ceremony, a laurel wreath was deposited at the monument dedicated to fallen NCOs. Afterwards, deferential greeting to the flag of the Institute, decorated with a bronze medal for the value of the Army and a silver medal for civil merit, celebration of Santa Mass and visit to the military library of the garrison, where a photographic exhibition on the Great War is currently present, and to the educational-training infrastructures of the school.

The gatherings of the former students, which are periodically held at the barracks "Soccorso Saloni" of Viterbo, a place where experiences, emotions and sacrifices were shared, bear witness to the authenticity of the values ​​that continue to animate and guide the non-commissioned officers of the Italian Army .

La Officers' School Army of Viterbo has the task of training marshals, platoon commanders and qualified professional nurses marshals. The training process is developed by combining university level teaching with an intense gymnastic-sport activity together with a demanding program of military, theoretical and practical activities, carried out in-house and in training areas and structures throughout the country.
