The commitment of the Army soldiers engaged in the "Safe Roads" operation continues: on Wednesday evening a patrol in security service at the Barberini underground station blocked two young women accused of pickpocketing.

The patrol composed of soldiers of the "Nizza Cavalleria" (1 °) regiment, intervened to stop the two non-EU women accused by passers-by of having made some theft with dexterity inside the subway cars. The interested parties were also lacking identification documents and for this reason they were stopped and assured to a police patrol that arrived on the spot for subsequent legal compliance.

The intervention of the military, quickly and effectively, was highly appreciated both by the people who suffered theft attempts and by the many other users present on the platform.

In the last week the actions of the men and women of the Army, allowed the detention of six young non-EU citizens, caught trying to pickpocket at a number of tourists in the "Barberini" and "Spagna" metro stations.
