The Army will also be present this year with its own stand at the 81st edition of the Fiera del Levante. The exhibition area of the Armed Force (viale Venezia near the stand of the Municipality of Bari and Cineporto) will have as its main theme the technological evolution of the vehicles and materials supplied and their "dual use" use, ie the dual use both for purposes strictly related to Armed Forces operations, both in civil protection activities, as recently happened in the earthquake that hit Central Italy in August 2016.
Furthermore, an infopoint will be set up to illustrate to young people the professional possibilities offered by the Army.
In particular, the stand will house some vehicles and equipment supplied to the Army, including the 'Lince' Light Tactical Vehicle, the 'Freccia' Medium Armored Vehicle, the 'Zodiac' dinghy, the TRP3 reconnaissance robot useful for inspection in difficult areas and the mini-terna also used in civil protection activities.
Visitors will also be able to carry out interactive and practical activities with the help of military instructors, including rock-climbing.
General Mauro Prezioso, Military Territorial Commander of the Army in Puglia, pointed out that "The Army is an active and modern institution, constantly at the service of the community, with commitments on the national and international fronts and always at the forefront of cultural and promotional activities. In this regard, the Armed Forces in Puglia has carried out many exhibiting activities - we recall the various exhibitions and conferences on the Great War, conferences in schools and promotional tours. The variety of the type of commitments whether they are operational, civil protection or promotional - the constant presence on the national and international territory remains true to our motto: We are always there”.
