The winter training/training phase of the 1st and 2nd year students of the XNUMXst and XNUMXnd year of the school ended in recent days. Military School of Milan, engaged respectively at the 2nd "Granatieri di Sardegna" regiment of Spoleto and the alpine training center of La Thuile (AO).
The 1st year students had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with military life by carrying out activities such as tactical marches, individual combat training, topography, shooting lessons and visiting the Joint Defense Force School NBC (nuclear, biological, chemical).
At the same time, there was no lack of opportunity to enrich one's ethical and cultural baggage by participating in the general audience of Pope Francis in the Vatican and admiring the Vatican Museums and the Altar of the Fatherland, guardian of the Shrine of the Unknown Soldier and of the highest values of Homeland.
Furthermore, the 2nd year students trained in a mountain environment, where they carried out alpine skiing sessions alternating them with activities related to the soldier's survival on snowy terrain such as emergency shelters, searching for personnel swept away by an avalanche, movement and navigation through tests of orienteering, which allowed us to test the difficulties of harsh environments and climates.
