The Armed Forces Army's Show in Ruvo di Puglia was inaugurated: "The Great War. Faith and value "

The inauguration of the itinerant exhibition of the Army Staff, entitled "The Great War. Faith and Value", curated by the "Puglia" Army Military Command, began with the flag-raising ceremony, which was followed by a concert by the Band of the mechanized brigade "Pinerolo".

At the opening ceremony, in addition to Brigadier General Mauro Prezioso, territorial commander of the Army in Puglia, to prof. Pasquale Chieco, mayor of Ruvo di Puglia, to the managers of the higher education institutions, to the combat and weapons associations, was present with a large representation of students belonging to institutions of all levels.

During the inauguration conference held, among others, by prof. Nicola Neri, lecturer at the "Aldo Moro" University of Bari, expressed great satisfaction with the success of the event, thanks also to the contribution ofNational Bersaglieri Association and the concomitant anniversary of the relocation of the statue dedicated to the fallen of the Great War.

The exhibition is located within the commemorative events of the Centenary of the First World War and tells, through the images of the didactic panels, the tragic events of the First World War.

The exhibition, in addition to relics, uniforms, vintage hats and helmets and prints, generously made available by private collectors Franco Tria and Piero Violante, contains an exclusive collection of thirty-six lithographic postcards, born from sketches that Tommaso Cascella created drawing inspiration from his experience as a war correspondent for the magazine “La Grande Illustration” directed by his father Basilio Cascella.

The exhibition will be open to the public from 23 to 26 March, from 9,00 to 13,00 and from 15,00 to 21,00. Guided tours are provided for groups and schools by the Army Military Command "Puglia" and theNational Bersaglieri Association, section of Ruvo di Puglia.
