The general audience of Pope Francis took place in recent days in St. Peter's Square in Rome, during which the Holy Father received a representation of men and women from the Army belonging to the Multinational CIMIC Group of Motta di Livenza and the 5th MLRS “Superga” artillery regiment of Portogruaro.
The pontiff, after an initial greeting addressed to the delegation during the passage on board the vehicle, publicly expressed words of appreciation and gratitude to the military personnel present: “I am pleased to welcome the soldiers from Motta di Livenza and Portogruaro: I encourage each one in their respective activities at the service of others”.
Subsequently, during the greeting to the commanders of the two units, His Holiness expressly wanted to underline his appreciation for the work carried out at home and abroad to the personnel of the two departments.
