In the period between November 27 and December 2 the final phase of the "Mouflon 2016" took place, an exercise conducted by COMFOSE and its departments, aimed at consolidating their interoperability capacity in the planning and conduct of special operations.
The activity involved the 9 ° regiment With Moschin, the 4 ° alpine paratroopers regiment, the 185 regimental acquisition objective, the 28 ° regiment Pavia and the 3rd helicopter regiment for special operations "Aldebaran", with aliquots of the 41st SORAO regiment, the 11th transmission regiment "Leonessa" and the 183rd parachute regiment "Folgore" as well as a rate of COFS personnel HICON role - involved a large area between Marche, Lazio and Tuscany and saw the use of over 500 men.
The departments gave birth to one Special Operation Land Task Group which also operated with the support of the 3rd REOS helicopters which identified one Special Operation Air Task Group.
The exercise, conducted with opposing parties and characterized by a marked realism, confirmed the ability of individual departments to conduct operations in line with their missions.
