This morning, in the courtyard of Honor of the Military Academy of Modena, the military ceremony took place for the twentieth anniversary of the entry into the Institute of the 185th "Fierezza" course.
The symbolic twinning between the Officers of the 185th course and the students of the 205th course represents an ideal embrace between two generations who, although distant in age, are animated by the same principles and the same motivations that symbolize belonging to a single group, like the motto “UNA ACIES” of the Military Academy.
The officers of the 185th course, faced with the emotional gaze of their families, were able to relive the significant moments of the past and remember the ideal motivations of twenty years ago which, consolidated by the experiences and commitment of these years of service, find life-giving confirmation today. The then "Students" - now senior officers of the Army and the Carabinieri - found themselves alongside the young cadets of the 205th course who, with their proud looks, represent the continuity of that passion, of that conviction and of that enthusiasm that has always accompanied the ranks of officer cadets in undertaking a profession aimed at the common good, taking on the responsibility of serving others, with humility and awareness of their role as commanders.
The commander of the Military Academy, general of division Davide Scalabrin, in greeting the officers of the 185th course, underlined: “the values that the Institute still preserves today and hands down to your very young twins of the 205th course are the same ones that allowed you to become officers of the Army and the Carabinieri, enthusiastic and determined, engaged in a profession that asked a lot, certainly also in terms of personal and family sacrifices, but which today is repaid by the passion intercepted in the eyes of the young students lined up here alongside you".
