This morning, at the Army Officers Club of Turin, the "Civil Administration Day of the Defense Administration" was celebrated for the year 2016.
The commander of the Northern Military Region, Brigadier General Massimo Panizzi and the commander of the Legion Carabinieri of Piedmont and Valle D'Aosta, Brigadier General Gino Micale, during the ceremony, presented the diplomas and gold, silver and bronze medals to the staff respectively, for the 40, 30 and 20 years of service performed at the institutions and commands of Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta.
At the opening of the ceremony was read the message of the Minister of Defense, Senator Roberta Pinotti, who expressed her gratitude to all civil servants for her daily work, a true testimony to the conscious participation in the institutional activities of the dicastery and, more generally , of the "Defense System".
The gen. Panizzi, in handing out the honors, underlined the importance of the experience acquired by the award-winning staff, an irreplaceable added value, to be transmitted to the youngest.
The "Day of the Civilian Personnel of the Defense Administration", now in its 53rd edition, was established in 1963 with the name of "Feast of the elderly of the work of military establishments". The honors today are extended to all civilian defense employees. The ministry's initiative seals the osmosis between the civilian and military components of the Defense Administration.
