The "Shardana 2016" exercise has just ended in the Capo Teulada polygon under the direction of the 24th "Peloritani" land artillery regiment of Messina which managed the delivery of the fire.
The exercise, lasting over thirty days, included an intense white training activity, where the involved departments were confronted not only with the study of the terrain and the adoption of the most recent technical-tactical shooting procedures with the aid of Fire Information System (SIF), but they also appreciated the value of the traditional methods of calculation and discipline of fire both in the daytime and in the night.
The peak of the training period was represented by the two days in focus (the 24 and the November 25), when the command of the 24 ° artillery regiment "Peloritani" autonomously coordinated the maneuvering of the deploying sources together with that of the observers on the ground.
