Ten years since the death of Massimo Vitaliano

This morning, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the death of the major corporal, Massimo Vitaliano, a commemoration ceremony was held in the D'Avossa barracks in Salerno, home of the "Cavalleggeri Guide" regiment (19 °). The cavalryman lost his life in Iraq following an accident caused by a civilian truck on the morning of the 21 in September 2006 while he was carrying out a normal territorial control activity as part of the operation Ancient Babylon.

The commander of the "Guide" regiment, Colonel Carmine Sepe, laid a laurel wreath with his parents and sister of the Fallen on the flag-raising square named Massimo Vitaliano. Subsequently a mass was celebrated in the suffrage in the San Giorgio chapel in which all the Guides were close to the family.
