The "Giaguaro 23" exercise, which involved the scout platoons of all the COMFOP SUD brigades, ended at the Torre di Nebbia range in Puglia.
The exercise was conceived, planned and conducted in order to train and evaluate personnel on the procedures of maneuver support units with particular reference to threat assessment, choice of movement techniques on the ground and development of contingency plans, also employing the equipment supplied for day and night observation.
The training, characterized by maximum realism, was developed through training stations with opposing parties, with the use of simulation systems, involving the participants in all phases, allowing them to compare and improve their planning skills, perfect their camouflage, observation and target acquisition techniques.
