To Colonel Chironi, the responsibility for the protection of the territory and the vigilance of around 100 sensitive objectives, including the major places of worship in the capital and in Assisi. The occasion was propitious to give some soldiers who have distinguished themselves in the performance of the service, recognition for their work.

The "Safe Roads" operation, since its launch in 2008, has contributed to the arrest of more than 15 thousand people, to the seizure of 2 tons of drugs and to the detention of approximately 10 thousand people without identification documents or in possession of expulsion orders.

The 131 / 2016 law has extended the urgent measures to protect the territory on the occasion of the Jubilee until the next 31 December. There Safe Roads Task Force Army is thus preparing to spend another intense period of work in anticipation of the upcoming Christmas holidays.
