The 1st Meeting of Military Psychology and Psychiatry took place in Rome, organized by the Army General Staff, with the patronage of the national council ofOrder of Psychologists and the contribution ofItalian Association of Psychology and the “Sapienza” University of Rome.
The meeting aimed to highlight how organizations, in particular the Army, protect the health and promote the well-being of their personnel and their families, also through the contribution of psychology and psychiatry.
After the opening of the proceedings by the Army Deputy Chief of Staff, Gen. ca Gaetano Zauner and the Lectio Magistralis of the prof. Francesco Avallone, for the first time, the issues of orientation, professional development and leadership, the welfare, biotechnology w, the prevention of psychological distress and the promotion of organizational well-being, through a comparison with the academic world and with external companies such as Ferrero, Leonardo, Accyourate and Lamborghini.
In the afternoon, a round table was held on the theme "Psychology and organizational well-being", moderated by the journalist Benedetta Rinaldi and introduced by prof. Santo Di Nuovo, president of the Italian Association of Psychology.
