31 October 1909 happened: First airstrike without airship

Lieutenant Guido Scelsi, after having tested it in flight over the Tuscan archipelago, he pilots the airship N.1 bis in the first Italian non-stop raid on the route Vigna di Valle-Napoli and return of 470 km remaining in flight 14 hours, an event that will do era.

The airship N.1 bis of the cubature of 3450 m3, to which the same Scelsi took part, is the progenitor of the airships of the Royal Navy.
