The campaign, in addition to impatient students to life on the sea, had the same important purpose of bringing together young people from different areas and regions through the commonality of life on board and promoting cohesion and friendship between the two Navy souls which came from training with very different settings that will cause behavioral problems in a variety of circumstances.

The Euridice was a large corvette with three square sail masts from the Sardinian Navy, of 1442 t, armed with 20 cannons from 18 lb and crewed with 230 men; in service by the 1829, now unsuitable for operational tasks, it was used as a school ship for its good nautical qualities and habitability.
