24 January 1886 happened: The Permanent Team in Suda

Sunday - The Permanent Squad under the command of Vice-Admiral Federico Martini with a banner on the battleship Prince Amedeo, composed of three battleships (Principe Amedeo, Ancona, Regina Maria Pia), two notices (Vedetta, Rapido) and by gunboat Sebastiano Veniero, set sail from Naples for Suda.

The 31 will arrive to take part in the international naval demonstration following the disturbances on the island concerning the complex local political issue between Greeks and Turks.
