22/10/14

Granadier and Corazziere destroyers, of the 4a Squadriglia, located in Ancona, are used for surveillance cruises in the Middle and Lower Adriatic for the recovery and destruction of stray mines.

The same measures will be taken for other torpedoes located in Brindisi and Venice.

The presence of drifting mines, generally in an inverted position, was found starting from the month of September initially in the waters from Rimini to Termoli, then up to Bari and with subsequent presumed or real sightings to the open sea of Venice, with a thickening in the area from Rimini to Ancona where at the end of September two fishing trabaccoli jumped in the air.
