Vettor Pisani summit (commander, frigate captain Giuseppe Palumbo) on his return from his third voyage of circumnavigation of the globe, coming from Aden, lands in Assab. The next day it will continue to Beilul and then to Massawa where it will arrive on the 27th. The unit will participate effectively in the defense preparations and will embark personnel and materials to be brought to Italy.

 

 

 

 

1906 - In Beijing, Captain Charles Maria Novellis, commander of the armored cruiser Marco Polo at the Shanghai berth, is received at the winter palace by Emperor Guangxu and Empress Mother Cixi.

 

 

 

 

1911 - Relay ship from the Red Sea arrives in Mogadishu the hydrographic vessel Relay at the command of the frigate captain Edoardo Salazar to carry out the surveys of the anchorage and of the coast of Uarsciek to then extend to all the Benadir.

The conflict with Turkey will interrupt the development of the latter which will be resumed only in December of the 1912.
