13 happened April 1911: The Polar Star sold to the Municipality of Rome

Ministry of the Navy is authorized by Parliament to assign the Stella Polare ship to be used as a recreational and educational center for training young people for life and seafaring exercises free of charge to the Municipality of Rome.

The City will be responsible for the maintenance and conservation of the ship that will return owned by the State if it ceases to be assigned.

The Polar Star will be deemed to have been removed from the state ship from the moment of delivery in the port of Civitavecchia to the delegates of the Municipality. Another social measure wanted and implemented by the Navy that follows that of the sale in March 1895 of the brig Daino to the Nicolò Garaventa Foundation.
