Under the command of the frigate captain Antonio Foschini, the unit is articulated on batteries placed on pontoons (96a and 97a batteries deployed in Broncolo and on the Isonzo) armed with pieces of 152/32 and 152/40 mm and on land (98a and 148a battery, deployed in Bosco Grande and Isola Morosini), one with four 152/40 mm guns and the other with two 305/17 mm guns.
