09 happened November 1917: The Italians attest to the Piave

o Thaon di Revel orders a company of sailors to line up along the defensive barrage, on the Lemene, where he will be baptized by fire; a group of armed pontoons is deployed at the mouth of the Piave and another in Altino, on the northern edge of the lagoon. This is the first embryo of the Marine Brigade.

The reconstitution of the Artillery Regiment of the Royal Navy is ordered, under the orders of vessel captain Antonio Foschini.
