09 happened July 1912: Flight accident for Guidoni

in Spezia the pilot captain of the Genio Navale Alessandro Guidoni during an experimental flight with a Seaplane Farman, for a failure of the controls loses control of the aircraft but manages to make an emergency ditching.

Pilot and mechanic, unharmed, are rescued by the battleship Dante Alighieri which was carrying out test tests.

The seaplane is towed and towed in port.
