05 December 1905 happened: New operation of the landing departments

many experiences in Crete in the 1897-1900 and in China among the 1900-1905, the Navy landing departments involved in the Eastern Mediterranean, within a multinational force engaged in a show of force against the Ottoman Empire.

Italian forces land in Mitilini and Lemnos, without encountering resistance from the local Turkish garrison. The units will remain in the area until the 18 proving, in the international evaluation, an indispensable element with proven reliability.
