03 happened December 1887: The torpedo boat ram Etna enters service

a in service in Naples the torpedo boat tycoon Etna, one of the first protected cruisers destined to give positive results in employment, carried out mainly in overseas service, reaching an operational life that exceeded thirty years.

Set in the 1883 and launched in the 1885 at the Castellammare di Stabia construction site, it is one of the first national constructions, through which the country guarantees work and experience in light shipping for Italian workers.
