el Genio Navale Raffaele Rossetti and the marine physician Raffaele Paolucci violate the austro-Hungarian harbor of Pula and sink with the innovative self-propelled torpedo, nicknamed Mignatta, the battleship Viribus Unitis and the steamer Wien.

The new medium, a modified torpedo invented by the engineer of Marina, is the first underwater assault vehicle in history, prototype and progenitor of the slow-running torpedoes that had so much in the victorious Italian actions during the Second World War and which represent, even today, the Italian Navy in the Naval Museums of the world.
