The torpedo boat Tocat opens fire first but hit by the destroyers' fire, reverses the route and heads for the return, chased by the Carabiniere who continues the fire hitting it repeatedly; the Turkish unit runs aground on the beach N of Punta Mitica in flames and is abandoned by the crew. The other enemy unit, Antalia, hit several times, reverses its course, returns to the port without government and also runs aground and is lost.

Taken under escort from the same Alpino, the steamship will be brought to Taranto.
