Thursday - The construction of three armored ships with towers, a 1a helicopter class gunboat and three 2a class gunboats is authorized, using the first tranche of funds allocated in the 1872 budget for the "Riboty" program.
As far as the armored ships are concerned, this is an innovative and revolutionary project by the brilliant 39-year-old director of 2a class of the Corps of Naval Engineers Benedetto Brin presented in the 1871 to the Superior Council of Marina and approved by it in January, relating to battle units with towers swivel and with unique steam propulsion; the four gunboats generally called "cruise ships" will be the precursors of the cruisers.
