Saturday - In Spezia the Major General of Naval Engineers Domenico Chiodo, after the blessing given by Monsignor Domenico Battolla, Abbot of the city, inaugurates the maritime military Arsenal at the plant only partially finished (two basins, two construction airports, four workshops) , with the opening of the floodwater gap.
The works will continue in the following years through further enlargements up to 1900, when the arsenal will reach its final configuration and full operation.
