23 March 1901: Sail from Venice to the Red Sea the Governolo gunboat

from Venice under the command of the frigate captain Leone Graziani, the gunboat Governolo to carry out colonial service in the Red Sea and in the Indian Ocean in place of the recently repatriated gunboat Andrea Provana.

The unit that will arrive in Massaua on April 14 will be mainly destined to carry out vigilance cruises for the repression of the slave trade and arms smuggling.
