21 April 1907: Launch of Rome Ship and Flag for Queen Elena

Spice the king Vittorio Emanuele after having attended the arsenal of the battleship Rome of the "Vittorio Emanuele" class, during a solemn ceremony he delivers to the battleship Regina Elena (commander, captain of vessel Davide Gerra) the fighting flag woven and worked by the students of the Vocational School of Rome.

For the occasion, a commemorative medal was coined on which the ship with the motto "Pro Patria et Rege" chosen by the Queen is reproduced.
