14 January 1912: Last mission for the Governolo

gunboat Governolo under the command of the frigate captain Ottaviano Morosini lands in Massawa to serve according to the new post-Cunfida strategy. It will remain in the Red Sea until October 26 and then repatriate.

It will be the last mission of the Governolo destined to the radiation cause the age and the impaired efficiency that makes an intervention for the prolongation of the operational life uneconomical.
