Sunday - The framework of the aircrafts of the State in which the navy aircraft in service are registered is established.

These airships are equivalent in all respects to naval units and the imposition of names and their changes as well as their purchase are arranged by decree.

On the same date, the name is given to the airship purchased by the War Ministry for its service in the Navy City of Ferrara and is inscribed in the framework of the state airship with rank corresponding to that of the battleships of 4a class (explorers).

The medium-sized airship, initially called M 2, had a volume of 12.000 m3 and was equipped with two twin-blade propeller motors mounted in a lateral position to the nacelle which gave a speed of 60 km / h.

Equipped with 10 hours of battery life, it had a range of 600 kg and a maximum tangency of 2800m. Crew four people: commander, helmsman, engineer and observer.
