12 July 1873: Minister Riboty leaves and advises the King

12/07/15

offering a partial internal crisis to the government, the minister Augusto Riboty retires to private life after having advised the King (who normally chooses the two ministers of war and the Navy when they are military) to replace with the new admiral Simone Pacoret of Saint Bon, decorated with a gold medal for military value for his conduct in Lissa and a Member of Parliament, which thus becomes part of the new government.

On the agenda of the inauguration in office is the program of his mandate: to strengthen the naval instrument, to regain in the public confidence the position that belongs to the Armed Force and to cut the "dead branches" to make the administration more streamlined and economic.
