It is the fourth drone in two months shot down by rebel anti-aircraft systems Houthi. This time the demolition of the reconnaissance aircraft took place in full Saudi territory, in the province of Asir, halfway between Mecca and the Yemeni border.

The news does during with the launch of a ballistic missile Burkan-1 against the Abdel Aziz airport of Jeddah, the second Saudi city and gateway to the Islamic holy city, less than 70 km.

Jeddah is located along the Red Sea at about 700 km from Jizan province, theater of rebel raids Houthi and now so destabilized by the Yemeni conflict that it is no longer under the total control of Riyadh's forces.

Although intercepted by the Saudi air defense, the launch of the Burkan would confirm the ballistic potential of the Shiite front, capable not only of striking ground-to-ground missiles at military bases near the border with Yemen (as has been the case for two years now), but of striking the main Saudi cities even at considerable distances: Jedda counts more than 3 million inhabitants. The data, rather than military, has a geopolitical value and can have important reflections on the ongoing conflict.

News of the military overthrow of the Saudi-led Arab Coalition meanwhile follows one another. Just 48 hours ago, yet another ambush Houthi against a military convoy from Riyadh in the Saudi province of Najran, near the border between Yemen and Arabia. Local sources speak of extensive damage and many deaths in an attack on a motorized column of reinforcement to the Coalition from the north.

A few hours ago the news of military progress of the pro Saleh front also in the Governorate of Ta'izz (the south-western corner of the country), where the troops loyal to the Sunni Hadi would be in retreat from the centers of Al Seed and Al Hasab.
