Russian Federation Foreign Minister Lavrov spoke clearly. The rebel militants still present in the eastern part of Aleppo who will not surrender to the loyalist forces by virtue of the agreements between Russia and the US on the end of hostilities in the second Syrian city, will be considered terrorists and as such will be eliminated.
The agreement between Moscow and Washington has not yet been formalized, but follows the latest news from the front that speak of a near-complete liberation of the city of Aleppo. The insistence of the Secretary of State Kerry on the need to guarantee a withdrawal to the militants still present, however, left room for insinuations that they would be present on the ground advisor Americans, tied to rebel forces. However, no entry in this regard has been confirmed.
The Syrian army, flanked by loyalist paramilitaries, is advancing in these hours from the east towards the Citadel, after eliminating all resistance in the eastern district of Al Shair. The fighting, restricted to a smaller area each day, would be supported by incursions by the Damascus air force.
The news of December 4 was confirmed according to which the National Hospital of Aleppo, a few hundred meters from the Citadel, would have been used as headquarters and a weapons depot by the militias present in the area, before being released.
