The war in Yemen becomes more bloody every day. In the total indifference of the media, large-scale clashes continue with the daily involvement of civilians.

Qatar troops would be marching towards the Yemenite province of Maareb to give breath to the forces of the Saudi-led Coalition, for months in open breath against the Shiite militias Hout and the Republican Guard, loyal to former President Saleh.

The reinforcements sent to Yemen would amount to 1000 soldiers, 30 Apache helicopters and about 200 armored vehicles but Doha would be willing to further increase its contribution for the immediate future.

The 13 in September, in the Saudi province of Najran (on the border with Yemen), 3 soldiers from Qatar were killed in combat precisely in the hours when the militias Hout announced the conquest from the Hanjar base in the south-western Saudi province of Asir. The long-planned further involvement of Doha could not have been more contextual.

For months the war has entered the territory of Riyadh with embarrassing results for the troops of the Kingdom. Alongside the Saudis, in addition to the Yemeni faithful of Sunni President Hadi, troops from Egypt, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, Morocco, Senegal, Sudan and Qatar are lined up. The UAE withdrew last June. The Sunni league is joined by the logistical effort of Somalia and Djibouti and the all-round support of the West.

Despite everything, the daily military bulletins continue to be dramatic for the Coalition that marks the pace on all fronts.
