The truce agreed in Aleppo to allow the arrival of humanitarian aid and the flow of civilians from neighborhoods still occupied by jihadists, began at the 8,30 of Damascus (Italian 7,30). According to the agreements, it should end at the 16,30, but since the morning the artillery shots have resumed from the jihadist positions in the Bustan Al Qasr district (about 500 meters west of the Citadel).

The Islamist militants would prevent civilians from reaching the zones controlled by loyalists in order to use them as human shields and would have targeted convoys of aid already marching in the urban area with mortar fire. In the area of Al Masharika (just north of Bustan al Qasr) a column of 8 ambulances would have been involved in the attacks.

As we write, through loudspeakers, the Syrian army is offering the militiamen barricaded in the neighborhoods of East Aleppo the opportunity to reach government-controlled checkpoints, hand over their weapons and surrender. It is reiterated that whoever surrenders will not be punished. At the time of the resumption of hostilities, already taken for granted in the next few hours, the circle around the jihadists will continue to tighten and at that point no acts of clemency will be expected.

The first answer has already arrived from Jabhat Fateh al Sham (the ex Al Nusra) who, regardless of the humanitarian truce, would have resumed their artillery fire.

Meanwhile, from Berlin, Russian President Putin had already renewed his willingness to extend the "ceasefire" and his commitment to a strategy for exiting the Syrian crisis. The prerequisites on the ground are the US commitment to separate the jihadist factions of the so-called moderate rebels, the study of a new constitution model for Syria, and the preparation of preliminary political elections.
