It was held last November 18 Great dance of Venaria Reale, an extraordinary evening of charity, the closing event of the prestigious "Vienna on the Lake" event that combines culture, training and solidarity, organized by the Vienna on Lake Committee with the participation of the Navy.

Officially started on 21 October with the Concert of the Navy Music Band in the gardens of the Savoy Royal Palace, the "Vienna sul Lago" event now in its XNUMXrd edition saw the students of the Naval Academy engaged in various educational and cultural activities, in order to to know the different realities and excellences of the territory. These include visits to the Egyptian museum in Turin, the exhibitions "The Bucintoro and the royal carriages" and the installation "Caravaggio Experience" in Venaria, and a visit to the submarine "Provana" in the Valentino Park in Turin.

After the laurel was deposited at the monuments "Caduti di Nassirya" and "Ai Marinai d'Italia" in Novara, students of the Academy were received by the prefect Francesco Paolo Castaldo. The cadets also participated in the Justice and Security conference held by magistrate Piercamillo Davigo.

"It is a convinced participation of the Navy and in particular of the Naval Academy of Livorno - commented Rear Admiral Pierpaolo Ribuffo, commander of the Naval Academy of Livorno - not only for the prestige of the initiative, for the educational and cultural value for the pupils, but above all for the important profile of solidarity. The development of solidarity is, in all respects, part of the Academy's training, a value for future sea professionals, a mode of being that characterizes all sailors engaged daily in operations in the Central Mediterranean and the Indian Ocean ".

The evening of the Grand Ball of the Venaria Reale was presented by the actors Alex Belli and Corinna Grandi. In the Galleria Grande of the Savoy Royal Palace, thirty official students of the Naval Academy of Livorno welcomed the young ladies from all over Italy and abroad, dancing to the splendid notes of the Mozart Orchestra of Turin in the gala evening in favor of the Italian Corps of Relief of the Order of Malta.

"There have been many projects over the years, thanks to the events included in the" Vienna on the Lake "program for charitable purposes - explains the notary Claudio Limontini, chairman of the Vienna Committee on the Lake -  Thanks to the Navy, in recent years we have been able to raise funds for important solidarity projects and I would like to remind you that for this reason we have been rewarded by President Giorgio Napolitano with a silver medal held in the Naval Academy Museum. "

A modern fairy tale, a great dance that has given a magical evening to students and ladies, a concluding event of a broad path accomplished under the noble sign of solidarity.
