It is 10 scattered sailors and 5 hurt the clash of the clashes, local 5.24, in the Malacca Strait, the main communication path between Pacific Ocean and Indian, between the USS destroyer John McCain and the oil tanker Alnic MC, flying Liberian flag.

According to what the US Navy said the damage suffered by the destroyer class Arleigh Burke are many, but despite the flood of the engine room, the one used for communications and crew accommodations, the McCain was made to moor in the port of Singapore, the one that had to be his destination anyway, and its floating seems not to be totally compromised.

While the ship was being taken to the military port of Singapore, searches to find the missing were activated and are involving MH-60S helicopters and MV-22 Osprey, which took off from the amphibious ship USS America present in the area. In addition to the Marines' aircraft, they are operating in the area, as reported by a note published on the US Navy website, also some ships from the Navy and the Coast Guard of Singapore.

On the incident involving the destroyer, titled grandfather and father of the current senator and former candidate president John McCain, an investigation was immediately opened to understand the reasons for the collision, all in order to verify whether is a human error or an accident caused by a technical failure, a road that, as reported by a military source to CNN, is not totally excluded: it would seem that the USS John McCain he had suffered damage to the helm just before impact.

For the US Navy this is the second accident in two months: on June 17, another destroyer of the same class, the USS Fitzgerald, hit a container ship causing 7 deaths and several injuries among the military, as well as suffering serious damage to the hull.

By the President of the United States, Donald Trump, arrived, through Twitter, the scorn for scorners and the encouragement for those in search of the sea. Even Senator McCain, always through Twitter, expressed his proximity to the destroyers' sailors, complimenting the team work that is taking place to find the missing.

The US Navy ordered an "operational break" to evaluate interventions.
