Forty year of the 159 course in Modena

Last Friday, 10 November, the 159 Officials gathered in Modena to celebrate their entry into the Modena Training Institute at 40.

Welcomed by Brigadier General Stefano Mannino, commander of the Military Academy, over three hundred among gatherers, family members, former commanders and professors have relived the emotions and memories of the two years spent inside the walls of the Palazzo Ducale.

Among the 222 official students of Italian nationality admitted to attend the 159 course (to which must be added nineteen Somali students) four have reached the rank of general of corps, eight of general of division and fourteen of brigadier general ; 134 participated in the meeting with former official students, including the chief of the course, Brigadier General Lorenzo Gadaleta, deputy logistic commander of the Army and commander of the army police station, the army corps general Claudio Berto, commander for Formation and Army Application School, the army corps general Agostino Biancafarina, military commander of the capital, the corps general Federico Bonato, commander of the Alpine troops and the corps general Nicolò Falsaperna, deputy secretary General of Defense.

During their professional life, the officers of the 159 course were granted, overall, four Medals to the Military Order of Italy, a Silver Medal for Military Valor, a Bronze Medal for Civil Valor, a Cross for Valor Military, a Silver Medal for the Value of the Army, two Bronze Medals to the Value of the Army, two Gold Crosses of Merit of the Army, ten Silver Crosses to the Merit of the Army, twenty Bronze Crosses to the Merit of the Army.
