"Stupor Mundi" exercise: visit by the Commander of the "Aragon I" Brigade

Yesterday the commander of the "Aragon I" brigade, brigadier general Josè Luis Sànchez Martinez Falero, accompanied by a delegation of his staff, visited the "Pinerolo" brigade deployed in the occasional shooting range of Torre di Nebbia for the exercise called "Stupor Mundi ".

The visit is part of the activities resulting from the letter of intent for the twinning between the two Great Units that the Army Chief of Staff, Army Corps General Danilo Errico, and the Chief of Staff of the Army de Tierra, General Javier Varela Salas, signed in September.

The delegation was able to attend an exercise on fire at the level Tactical Group digitized with medium / heavy connotation with the use of the innovative Medium Armored Vehicle (VBM) "Freccia", currently supplied to the "Pinerolo", Blindo Centaur and mortars from 120 Thomson.

Several demonstrations were carried out to highlight the potential of the vehicle, the leading vehicle of the Italian Army, a fundamental investment for the development of the digitized medium brigades and the "Soldato Futuro" project.

A static exhibition of the technological means and materials of the was also carried out Digitized Command Post. The twinning between the two Brigades is aimed at developing new training / operational opportunities, reinforcing interoperability, as well as sharing the results obtained by Italy in the field of digitalization of the maneuver, a sector of fundamental importance for the land sector of national Defense.
