Rangers train in Alaska

A joint exercise between the rangers of the 4th Alpine Parachute Regiment and the American special forces in Alaska has just ended.

The activity took place inside the Yukon Training Area, a training area characterized by moderate mountain ranges and dense forests whose orography of the land has put a strain on the trained personnel and the materials in use.

In a framework of particular realism and in a somewhat challenging scenario, numerous activities were carried out: from infiltrations/exfiltrations with snowmobiles, with descent/ascent from CH-47, to airdrop with the free-fall technique; from special reconnaissance and direct action on high paying targets, to rejoining other friendly units and planning and retrieving supply caches.

For the occasion, the rangers of the 4th Alpine Parachute Regiment, thanks to their work, managed to integrate effectively with the personnel of the 10th special forces group, homologous unit of American special forces.
