In recent days, a Delegation of the Task Force Air (TFA) 36 ° Stormo visited the orphanage in Haiba, near the military airport of Ämari in Estonia, a family-run substitute home that houses around thirty orphans and children without parental assistance, from birth up to the age of 18 years or at the end of school.

The visit was made on the occasion of the delivery of a symbolic check resulting from the funds raised by the personnel of the Italian Armed Forces of the TFA in various charitable initiatives. With what was collected, a team of volunteers bought, transported and assembled numerous pieces of furniture necessary for the structure.

The commander of the TFA, Colonel Eros Zaniboni, in his meeting with the personal educator of the orphanage, highlighted the importance of these activities in favor of the local community: "the Task Force Air staff has ideally adopted every guest child of this wonderful institution. It is important for us to be able to offer the utmost commitment to make the children who are part of it smile, but it is equally important to support those who dedicate their lives to taking care of them and growing them to guarantee them a better future."At the end of the day, characterized by an atmosphere of great joy between songs and games, the children of the center wanted to thank the Italian staff giving the commander a drawing.

The staff of TFA 36 ° Stormo, risked from the first days of January on the Ämari Military Airport in Estonia, as part of the NATO mission of Enhanced Air Policing, has the task of ensuring the integrity of the airspace over the skies of the Baltic Republics. The activity of Air Policing it has been conducted since the time of peace and consists in the continuous surveillance and identification of all violations of the integrity of the NATO air space to which it is faced by taking the appropriate actions to combat them, such as immediate take-off, in technical jargon "scramble" ".
