The delegation, received by the director of the CIGA, Colonel Marco Galgani, attended the exhibition of two briefings, the first concerning the tasks, organization, main activities and future programs of the Center and the second relating to the future developments of the Information System Geospatial Aeronautica Militare (WEB SIGA), a system that will make geospatial and aeronautical information available from the positions of the Armed Forces through connection to the Aeronet network.
Afterwards, the visit involved the press room of the CIGA where the various work processes for the production of cartography and aeronautical publications were shown.
The visit ended with the signing of the Roll of Honor and the exchange of Crests.
The delegation then went to the CITS, where the director of the Center, Colonel Silvio Cau, illustrated the current Defense satellite remote sensing systems used not only for military purposes but also to meet particular needs and / or emergency situations in favor of collectivity.
