Aeronautica Militare: medical transport from Olbia to Linate in favor of a patient in imminent danger of life

A Falcon 900 of the 31 ° Stormo of the Italian Air Force carried out an urgent medical transport from the airport of Olbia to that of Milan-Linate, in favor of a man of 63 years. The patient was quickly transferred to the San Raffaele hospital in Milan, where he will undergo a delicate cardiac operation.

When the patient has disembarked, the aircraft has immediately taken off towards the Ciampino base, home of the 31 ° Stormo, where it will resume its normal ready-to-use service. 

The request for support was received from the Prefecture of Nuoro to the Summit Situation Room of the Command of the Air Squad, the operational room of the Air Force which has among its tasks that of organizing and managing - in coordination with Prefectures, Hospitals and Presidency of the Council of Ministers - this kind of transport throughout the national territory, including islands . 

Military Air Force Man and Aircraft are ready day and night to ensure, where required and deemed necessary for urgent reasons, health transportation of people in imminent danger of life. 

There are thousands of flights flying every year from the 31 ° Forms of Ciampino, the 14 ° Fountain of Sea Practice and the 46 ^ Air Brigade of Pisa, which are always on the front line in an emergency.
