The first edition of the FAC (Forward Air Controllers) National Conference took place. Conference theme: "The role of the Forward Air Controller in current operational scenarios: synergies and opportunities for adequate training in the evolution of the threat".
In the two days of qualified work, experts and representatives of the departments responsible for the preparation and use of the FACs examined the innovations introduced by the new NATO doctrine and the opportunities offered by the technological development of the simulators. In the course of the activity the "Lessons Learned / Lessons Identified" coming from the operating theaters were also analyzed.
The conference was promoted and organized by the Guidonia Aircooperation School, whose commander, air brigadier general Fabio Giunchi, in underlining the importance of sharing the knowledge and experience gained in the operational field, hoped to replicate similar in the future collaborations, to strengthen the necessary synergy between training and operations for the benefit of all those who in various capacities operate in such a specific, complex and constantly evolving sector.
