Reggio Calabria Flight - Linate to save a life

Last Friday a man was urgently transferred from Reggio Calabria to Linate to allow immediate hospitalization and subsequent surgery at the Niguarda hospital in Milan.

The transport, necessary given the critical conditions of man, was requested by the Prefecture of Reggio Calabria to the Situation Room of the Air Squad Command which immediately ordered the activation of a Falcon 50 aircraft of the 31st Wing of Ciampino to carry out the transfer.

Once he landed at the military airport of Milan, the patient was disembarked and transferred, aboard an ambulance, to the hospital in the Lombard capital.

The Airport Command / Headquarters of the 1st Milan-Linate Air Region has the task of guaranteeing 24-hour assistance to institutional aircraft, as well as to aircraft engaged for medical flights and humanitarian missions in transit in Milan and to support, from the logistical point of view- administrative, the Bodies, Departments of the Air Force and Interforces that insist on the grounds of the 1st Air Region Command / Joint Military Presidio Command and the Linate Military Airport Command.
