Emergency transport from Brindisi to Rome

Yesterday a Falcon 900 of the 31 ° Stormo of Ciampino (Rome) carried out a sanitary flight to transport a Salentine patient in imminent danger of life.

The request for transport, made by the Prefecture of Lecce to the Situation Room of the Rome Air Squad Command, which ordered the immediate execution of the flight, was necessary to guarantee the patient immediate hospitalization at the Roman hospital "Lazzaro Spalanzani ”As he was struck by an organ rejection crisis.

The aircraft, a Falcon 900, coming from Ciampino airport (Rome), landed at Brindisi airport at 14:01 and after embarking the patient, - thanks to a special lifting equipment (albulift) made available from the airport company "Aeroporti di Puglia" of Brindisi -, a doctor and a family member who accompanied him left at 14:37 to reach the Rome airport of Ciampino, from where the patient will subsequently reach the hospital of the capital.

The aircraft of the 31 ° Stormo of Ciampino are used for state transport and for public utility missions, such as emergency medical transport of the sick, severely traumatized and transplant organs, as well as for interventions in favor of people in any case in risk situations.
